Managed AI receptionist for UK businesses

Your business keeps answering, even when you can't.

Front-line answers missed, busy and out-of-hours calls—or every call, if you prefer—on the number your customers already know. It handles routine enquiries, captures what the caller needs and sends you a clear summary, so you can respond properly when you're free.

Answering right now

Hear how it actually sounds

Tell it what kind of business you run and ask how it could handle your calls. It explains the options, answers questions and can help arrange a conversation with Greg.

01243 212112

Worth asking it:

  • “Can it answer only when I miss the phone?”
  • “What happens when it doesn't know an answer?”
  • “Could it work with my calendar or booking system?”

It's a sales and discovery assistant, not a replay of any customer's receptionist. Yours would be configured around your business.

Capabilities

What it can be set up to do

  • Cover only the calls you choose

Missed, busy, overflow, out-of-hours — or every call.

  • Answer on your existing number

Calls divert from the line customers already ring.

  • Capture name, number and reason

  • Answer routine questions

Hours, areas covered, what you take on — from what you supply. It doesn't guess.

  • Send a clear summary

A readable write-up after every answered call.

  • Book or connect, where configured

Appointments and integrations where set up for you and supported.

How it works

Live in three steps

  1. Greg sets it up

One short call, then he configures the receptionist and arranges the divert remotely.

  2. Calls arrive on your rules

Only when you miss them, only out of hours, or all of them. You answer as you do now.

  3. You get the summary

Who rang, on what number, and what they wanted — so you call back already knowing the job.

Example

What lands on your phone

Minutes later

6:38pm

Hannah Reid · 07700 900456

Who's behind it

You'll be dealing with Greg

Greg van Rooyen, founder of Front-line

I'm Greg van Rooyen. I build and run Front-line myself from Chichester, West Sussex, through my company, Van Rooyen Enterprises Ltd.

I set up each receptionist personally and I'm the person who picks up when you want something changed. You'd be trusting part of your phone line to whoever built this, so don't take my word for it — ring me on 07771 542157 or email greg@vanrooyenenterprises.com.

FAQ

Questions worth asking

Will callers know they're not speaking to a person?

If they ask, yes. Front-line never claims to be human; it says plainly that it's an assistant taking the details. Most callers simply want their message taken and a call back, and that is what happens.

Can I choose which calls it answers?

Yes. Common setups are missed calls only, calls while you're already on the phone, overflow at busy times, out-of-hours, or every call. You can change the rules later. Most accounts are live within a couple of days of the first conversation.

What happens when it doesn't know an answer?

It doesn't guess. It takes the caller's details, tells them you'll come back to them, and the question appears in your summary so you can call back with the answer ready.

Do I need to change my existing business number?

No. Front-line works with your existing number through call forwarding. The divert is arranged remotely, you keep your handsets, and callers dial what they've always dialled.

Do I have to pay a setup fee?

No. Standard setup is included with both plans.

Will it work with my booking system or calendar?

Sometimes. Booking and integrations are possible where they've been configured for your account and the system is supported, so it's a question for the setup conversation rather than a blanket yes. Ask the demo or ask Greg.

What happens after the 14-day trial?

You can continue on your chosen monthly plan. There is no long-term contract, and you can cancel at any time.

Is there a limit on how many calls it answers?

Full Receptionist answers every incoming call that diverts to it. Both plans are monthly and priced for ordinary call volumes for a small business. If yours is unusually high, mention it when you get in touch so the setup and the price can be built around it.

What if I want to stop?

Call or email Greg. The divert is removed and the service ends from your next billing date, with no cancellation fee. There's no fixed term. Your number was always yours, so there is nothing to move back.

Where is my callers' data held?

Securely, used only to get you the message, and kept no longer than needed. The detail is in the privacy policy.
