This notice explains, in plain English, what personal data Van Rooyen Enterprises Ltd collects, why, and what your rights are. It covers the Front-line AI receptionist service, this website, and our business-to-business outreach.
Who we are
The data controller is Van Rooyen Enterprises Ltd, registered in England & Wales, company number 17235628. For anything in this notice, contact Greg van Rooyen at greg@vanrooyenenterprises.com.
Data we process for the Front-line service
When Front-line answers a call on behalf of one of our clients, we process:
- the caller's name, phone number and the reason for their call, as given to the receptionist;
- call recordings and transcripts, where these are made, so the client receives an accurate message and so we can check the service is working properly.
This information is collected so the business the caller was trying to reach can ring them back. It is passed to that business as a call summary and is not used for any other purpose. The legal basis is legitimate interests: callers contact a business expecting their message to be taken and passed on, and that is what the service does.
Data we process for marketing
We contact UK businesses about Front-line using company and director details sourced from the public Companies House register. This is business-to-business outreach carried out under legitimate interests.
If you do not want to hear from us, email greg@vanrooyenenterprises.com and you will be added to our suppression list. We keep suppression-list entries so we do not contact you again; that is the only use made of them.
This website
This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads nothing from third parties. If you email or phone us, we hold that correspondence for as long as we need it to deal with your enquiry.
How long we keep data
Caller messages, recordings and transcripts are kept only as long as needed to deliver the message and confirm the service is working, then deleted. Client account records are kept for the duration of the service and for as long as UK tax and company law require afterwards. Suppression-list entries are kept indefinitely so your objection is honoured.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its processing (including objecting to marketing at any time), and to data portability where applicable. To exercise any of these, email greg@vanrooyenenterprises.com.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, contact us first and we'll try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
